Healthcare Practitioners work alongside the GP & Nursing team providing smoking support, weight management, blood pressure, dressings, removal of sutures and many more tasks.
Sue heads the dedicated reception team and assists the practice manager. If you have any immediate suggestions regarding the reception service please speak to Sue.

Marian looks after our Prescription Department assisted by Ben & Ollie. All requests go via them to ensure the correct medications are issued. Ben & Ollie also work to support the general administration and contracts function of the practice.
Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you. Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.
Community midwives hold clinics at the practice several time during the week. Messages for the midwife can be left at main reception.
Wendy Widdowson is the main contact with our district nursing team. If you need to contact the team please ring our main reception or contact the Orchard Centre on 551212.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social well being.

Ian is our Practice Therapist and offers a counselling programme. To be referred to Ian you will need a referral in the first instance from your GP/Nurse Practitioner/Practice Nurse.
