EPS enables prescribers - such as GPs and practice nurses - to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.

To set up this service, speak to your chemist (you can only have one nominated dispenser) who will set this up for you.

Requesting your prescription will still need to be done the same way, but instead of having to come to the surgery to collect it, it will go directly to your nominated pharmacy.

Please note: You should still allow for 48 hours before it will be sent to the pharmacy
