Care Quality Commission CQC

The Care Quality Commission is responsible for monitoring the standards of hospitals, dentists, GP Surgeries, Care Homes and Care Services. As from April 2013 they became responsible for monitoring the standards of GP Surgeries.

Whitehall Medical Practice, along with other GP Surgeries, has registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This involves assessing ourself against a set of standards. The standards relate to regulations in the Health & Social Care Act.

The CQC will routinely monitor the services that we provide and carry out regular inspections and reports. As with all CQC reports these will be published and accessible on the CQC website. We will also publish our reports on our website. You can use the CQC website to provide feedback on any CQC registered services such as hospitals and care homes and of course GP Surgeries.
